Hello All - With only three weeks until the reunion, I know many of you have already made your plans to attend. I hope to see a lot more of you sending in your registration forms in the coming days. For those of you who can't make it due to financial reasons, I would like to remind you that we do have a travel fund (completely confidential) and we can assist to some degree with your expenses. Finally, please don't wait for others to volunteer or register...now is the time! We already have some great coordinators, but there are also still things that you can help with. Those of us who do volunteer will be having the most fun ;) Also, if you don't see someone's name on the List, contact them personally if you can and encourage them to come. WATERFRONT ACTIVITIES There has been a lot of interest in diving, sailing, and other waterfront activities. We need Shorewatch volunteers and Outing supervisors to make sure that everyone is safe and that equipment is organized. DISCUSSION/SEMINARS Politics + Art: Bruce McKinnon Life after Pearson: reality vs expectation: Katy Greatrex Sexism and Racism at UWC's: Verena Schmidt Medical Aid + Globalization: Renana Schinker HIV/AIDS: Keira Armstrong FAREWELL DINNER This will be the "going away party" for all of us at the reunion. The kitchen is making a special meal, and Bruce McKinnon has volunteered to be a Leader of Ceremonies. If you have something to contribute to the evening...music?...speeches? Please contact Bruce to volunteer. PEARSON MEMORIES PROJECT This project will depend on the interest and input of people at the reunion and people who are not able to attend. Merinda McClure is working to find out the best way to document the reunion (photos/text/video?) and the best way to make the "memories" available to everyone (online/by mail?). If you will be at the reunion and can take photos or wish to send a special message to someone who didn't come or if you didn't make it, but have a request for a particular image that you would love to see...contact Merinda to help make it happen. Keira Armstrong is working with Merinda to put together a slide show of images that will help us all share what we have been up to for the last ten years. Please bring slides to contribute or bring prints to scan or email digital photos (with your name and a description of the image) to Barb Roberts. BARTENDING / STUDENT STORE Alexandra vanSelm, Jennifer Butterworth, Catherine de Grandpré, Jermey Wendell, Rachel Simeon. If you know how to do this, please contact Barb to volunteer. SOCIAL EVENINGS D.J. Volunteers are needed to coordinate music in the evenings. This could just be a Common Room free-for-all, but many people have expressed interest in having different regional or specific genre-focused nights. Salsa, etc. If you would like to do this, please contact Kirthi to volunteer. CHILD CARE Several Alumni will be bringing small children with them.
